NCAA: On Krissy Tribbett and Kristin Hartmann

After sitting behind three-time All-American Alyssa Naeher for the past two years, Tribbett and Hartmann will be competing to take the starting role next season. With the Nittany Lions opening their spring exhibition season Saturday against West Virginia, the former backups will finally have their chance to play.

I’ve just walked into the Women’s Professional Soccer Draft room; I’m there because the goalkeeper that I’ve coached for the past three years has been projected to be drafted and I couldn’t be happier to be in the room to witness her realizing her dreams and celebrating her future.

Soccer can be just absolutely beautiful as a game itself. If you break it down technically it is almost like a dance or an art. Having the ability to participate in that is like being able to make music, in a way.”
